THE MAN WHO INVENTED CHRISTMAS, directed by Bharat Nalluri (Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) features a stellar cast which includes Dan Stevens (Beauty and the Beast, FX’s “Legion”) as “Charles Dickens,” Christopher Plummer (Academy Award winner for Beginners, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) as “Scrooge,” and Jonathan Pryce (“Wolf Hall,” “Game of Thrones”) as “Dickens’ father.”

October 1843. Charles Dickens was broke and distressed. Despite early success, his last three books had failed. Rejected by his publishers, he set out to write and self-publish a book he hoped would keep his family afloat.
